Just Let Go

Was hanging on a wire
Now I've let go
Thought there'd be fire
I just didn't know

Fell for a while with nothing to grab
Except for shadows and air
Along the way, I got stabbed
By eyes with a piercing stare

Kept falling, and falling
Deeper and deeper
Heart kept calling and calling
Louder and louder

Terrified to a point of cowardice
I was powerless
Until God gave me the courage to rise
And opened my eyes

Everything is now clearly in sight
No more gray, just black and white
Oh, and orange, green and blue
Heck even some yellow too

If you're always focusing on two
You'll see just one
Thinking it's all we need when it's new
But what happens when it's done?

I fell into a hole
Thinking it was endless
Became numb in my soul
Hopelessly senseless

Just...

No one deserves to feel this way
To feel doomed when they pray
Constantly against a rope
Everyone deserves a little hope

Colours

Feels great, but sometimes shines too bright
Dominantly overtakes everything else in sight
Left with just one colour, beautiful for sure
But was it worth all my effort to focus on just her?

The leftovers moved to my blind spot
I didn't even ask myself why
Or if it was on purpose, was it not?
Guess I decided to use just one dye

Unfortunately it ran out
I squeezed everything I could
To the ends I fought in a bout
To discard it, I knew I should

Looked around for a while with the lights off
In a room I didn't recognize as home
I opened the exit door and stepped outside
And saw a green field with a rainbow

The beautiful colours overwhelm my senses
So vivid, I now have a spectrum before me
I'm so glad I've learned through many lessons
How mixed reds, yellows, and blues shine equally
